Our Leadership

Community Development Capital’s daily operations are headed by an executive team. A key member of this team is the fund’s manager, Lisa Mazique.

Lisa Mazique brings extensive experience to the position of CD Capital’s fund manager. Most recently, she served as Senior Advisor to the City Manager for Economic Development for the City of Miami.  In this capacity, she lead a dynamic team to stimulate innovation and leverage resources through public and private collaborations to facilitate equitable, diversified growth across communities in the City of Miami. Ms. Mazique was responsible for developing residential and commercial economic development strategies, feasibility studies for specific sites, initiating strategic goals and tracking the progress and compliance of multiple complex projects. Services/programs administered included:  Business/Tax Incentives, Capital Formation (NMTC), Brownfield/Land Revitalization, Minority/Small Business Assistance, Financial Literacy and Workforce Development.

Prior to the City of Miami,  Ms. Mazique was Executive Director of the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, a state chartered entity, and was responsible for executing the policies and projects of the Board. She oversaw all activities pertaining to agency staffing, planning and programmatic performance and asset management; and had overall responsibility for the daily implementation, fiscal management and operation of the agency’s Moderate Rehab/Section- 8 Program, Blighted Property Removal Program, Real Estate Acquisition & Land-banking Mechanism (REALM), Blighted Property Amnesty Program and Shelter Plus Care Program.  In addition, Ms Mazique  served as Executive Assistant for the New Orleans Home Mortgage Authority an (HFA) responsible for the annual issuance of $15-20 million of single-family mortgage revenue bonds and administration of the Impact Neighborhood Strategy (INS), a 3MM CDBG/HOME funded initiative designed to revitalize distressed communities, create affordable housing and increase homeownership.

Community Development Capital maintains a nine (9) member Board of Directors, comprised completely of volunteers representing CD Capital investors and the community groups supporting the organization’s mission. The Board of Directors role is to set the policies, goals, and direction for CD Capital, and monitor the performance of the Organization to these objectives.
